Who am I? Sometimes I wonder…
I love my people, I love myself. I put my people first, then my family, then whatever is left is left over for myself.
I am an adventurer. I am a lover of people. I am encouragement, and I am someone whom has a curious heart, a whimsical soul, and a personality of playfulness. I will endeavour to enjoy all the little bits of life there is to enjoy - from the joys to the sadness, from the good to the badness
I will find my solace in others when I can, in an embrace, in the joy of friendship, in the bottoms up of a drink or laughter even if it is at my own expense. In the kiss of a lover, giving embraced to those whom need it.
I will endeavour to make peace with the Faeries and allow them to lead our people to prosperity. I think they are oft misunderstood, perhaps sometimes they are just bored. We lock them out of our lives, but if we live honestly and openly with any mild sense of adventure in life I think they will endear to us instead of playing tricks on us. We can never understand the Faeries completely - but I think they deserve love and respect just like any of us do. Let us work hand in hand to make them feel welcome as a part of our lives and people instead of outcast.
I am not shy of hard work. I am clever yet sometimes just not clever or smart enough. I am not afraid to get dirty with whomever needs help from his highness to the most struggling of the lowest people. I hate the word commoner because in my land noone is common - everyone is special and has significance to Eire.
I care. I love. I want to be that positive voice of change. I want to understand those around me and make their lives better.
I am Saoirse Nic Brin, daughter of the High King of Eire. I am a woman of Eire. I am a Princess of Eire. Of passions and will create my own social advenuture and bring as many people along with me as wish to traverse. That is who I am. Whisical Loving Adventuring Princess of Eire. And I love you all.
A princess born to the reigning High King of Eire Brin mac Caibre. She was not in direct line of inheriting the line of succession so instead was more marked for a rather charmed life. That isn't to say that she would not be studious however her duty would be to marry for political alliance and gain. Saoirse was a curious outgoing child often getting underfoot and into everything. She would watch with wide eyes and wonder as her family and their vassals gathered around bonfires and celebrations to tell the tales of warriors, and Eire pride. Sitting on many a knee she was charmed by these stories and the way they brought not only her but others together. Entertained to no end she wanted to grow up to be a bard! In which she was promptly swatted and told no, that is not your fate as a Princess.
As a child Saoirse would pout, she would threaten to hold her breath till they gave into her demands, and she would threaten to run away! None of these tactics ever worked. Though she did have a couple of uncles who she 'ran away' with. Unknown to her they arranged these little journeys with her father to introduce her to the people. She met them 'as not Princes Saoirse!' in the towns and saw how people picked their apples, farmed their crops. She rode her first pony! She shot her first bow! (and the arrow went a whole 12 feet!). She got to eat simple delights she had never even known of. She got to sleep outside! All this adventure charmed her heart and she fell in love with her people and with the common everyday person and their routine. After visiting several towns the little blonde felt connected to her people. But she also missed her Papabear..erm, her father His Highness and all her siblings and their vassal. About a week into their journey she took the hand of her uncle with a pout. 'I'm so sorry I ran away. Can we go back? I need a PapaBear hug and I want to hug everyone and say I'm sorry and be a good Princess! Pretty please?" She pouted to the riotous laugher of her uncle and his entourage. Of course she could go back.
Little Saoirse hugged her father crying and saying she's sorry. She didn't get a spanking but instead a big hug and papabear..erm, His Highness wanted to hear all about her adventure. That would be her penance for running away. So she told him. She saw apple trees, and chickens, and people working hard yet happy with what they had. They treated her well and didn't yell at her at all. Even though she asked lots of questions and peeked into everything she could get to. They shared their lives, their goodies, their everyday treasures with her. She wanted to be the best princess for her people because they deserve the best princess they could get! This set the tone for much of the rest of her life. Surrounded by people who loved her she was nicknamed 'Little Runaway' for her adventure. She began traveling to the different towns with family between learning her reading, her 'rithmatic, and her Ettiquitte. She became well loved by the common people and as she grew would be right out there in the fields learning, helping plant, getting just as dirty with them. At nights she would share dinners with those of common blood. She would sing and dance and laugh with them. She would drink with them.
Little Saoirse grew into 'Big' Saoirse. And 'Big' Saoirse wore her heart on her sleeve. An Extrovert that had particular difficulty being stoic. Filled with warmth and smiles she always looked at things positively. The glass is never half empty, there is still have a glass to enjoy! She grew to be particularly clever and a leader in the farming community as she listened and went hands on with her farmers. She learned the bow - insistence from her father. She learned how to organize farmers to help one another overcome weaknesses, like when one becomes sick, others help. She enjoyed every little wonderful pleasure life had to offer. The crisp bite of an apple. The tastiness of a roasted carrot. Drunken revelry and dancing at a bonfire. She wrapped herself in the love of her people and was completely taken with them.
At the age of 18 - It was time to start taking life more seriously. Or was it? She had been working so well with the vassals helping the commoners work their fields, bounties had been good. She was happy and productive. Okay. We'll leave her be for another harvest.
At 19 the harvest was even bigger this year! There was so much excess crop. Everyone was in high spririts. Okay. Let's just leave her to her whims for one more year. She is doing very well.
So age 20 came. A long time of additional training to become well versed in Economics, to look for things hidden, to be able to lead. And the beginnings of learning the D'Angeline language. It took some time to master all of these things, they did not come particularly easy.
And yet age 22 came. And she began working with her vassals books. She was rather talented at finding wasteful spending, the harvests were good, well. Things are very prosperous. We certainly can hold off on seeking a political marriage for her for another year.
At age 23 she met a cat. And that cat took a liking to her. And before she knew it there were cats everywhere seeking her out. They wanted to be picked up, to be petted, carried around. But just by her, not by other humans. Dozens and dozens of cats. Was she letting them all in? Where in the world did they come from? Sure, there was not a mouse at all in the great halls. But you couldn't sit somewhere without landing on a cat! And not to mention the cat hair upon your everything.
So, at the ripe age of 24, Saoirse was summarily kicked out of the castle - with her cats and all. Sure sure the cats found good homes along the way. Saoirse herself was finally sent off after the cat-tasrophe to Terre d'Ange. She may speak the language and know the very basics, but she knows little of the land or it's people. Citing 'Little Runaways' sense of Adventure, the High King made an argument she could not find refute in - this is her biggest, boldest, bravest adventure yet. Saoirse arrives as an assistant diplomat in training to become an ambassador to Terre d'Ange and in all hope find a husband to form a political marriage and bond with - perhaps with a little nudging from her parents afar.
There is a sense of beauty in this person that is on the outside - hair, a smile, an attractive femininity - And then there is an inner beauty that shines through. The way she smiles, that way her eyes light up with interest. Saoirse is easily a blending of these two things - an extroverted beauty that is both beautiful on the outside and her hidden inner beauty refuses to stay hidden. Often smiling with her expressions full her interest almost always tipping her hand. She is someone that struggles to keep any of her positive inner light to not spill outward and wears her infectious optimism like a outfit. She has a presence that no matter what you may think of her she shines above the average person and stands out in a sea of people.
Saoirse is a tall drink of Eire standing from head to toe at 5'9. Every word, syllable, sound drenched in that thickly-heavy Eirian accent. Rolling sounds of letters. Vowels drawn out, slightly misaligned with speech. Oh she speaks the language just fine but she will never be mistaken for anything other than an Eirian. Straight blonde locks fall naturally to mid-back with a soft shine often from scents of oils and haircare. Slim blonde brows nestled comfortably above a pair of quite expressive blue eyes. A moderate nose and a set of full pink lips. Pierced ears often hidden beneath that flowing soft flyaway hair.
She is a full bodied woman. While one wouldn't put her in the 'fat' category she has what one might refer to as a touch of 'chubbiness' to a few of her features. Her cheeks are a bit fuller than someone of a slimmer stature. She has unintimidating shoulders, slender arms and dainty looking hands. However her body blooms from there with her chest being in full feminine bloom of a woman, her waist being certainly not of the trim variety but a heartier base. Her hip and thigh-line curve significantly outward more than the average woman and are of note leading into larger fully formed strong looking legs. Her features are complete with a soft backline that occasionally has the right angle to reveal a little bit of imperfection at that little touch of chubbiness she just can't seem to get rid of. And finally the round curve of her bottom is pronounced and distinctive.
Quirks:
- Extrovert: She wears her heart on her sleeve, and every little emotion flows to extremely expressive facial expressions. She must roll and have a high success in order to suppress emotions being at a complete disadvantage.
- Feminine Empathy: She has a high level of empathy with those of the fairer sex and naturally senses what they are feeling. Men on the other hand are the opposite and has difficulty determining what they are feeling even if it seems rather obvious. What are they /feeling?/. So stoic..
- Positively Positive: She looks to the bright side of things even in the worst of circumstance. That glass is never half full of drink, you have half a drink left to enjoy! Leave it to her to find a brightness even in the most grim situation.
- Modestly Hedonistic: She loves to enjoy things in life. Things that taste good with flavors she enjoys. She's enjoyed sweets, the occasional romp through the forest for a little adventure, or a casual romance with the farmer's son or daughter. If something tickles her fancy she's not afraid to see it though, however she will put her fun on hold if it serves her people first and seeks a balance between fun and obligation.
- Loved by Cats/Hated by Dogs: Where did all these damn cats come from all of a sudden? They got her kicked out of her home castle - sort of. Any cat she encounters seems to love her immediately, rubbing all over her to claim her and get it's scent on her. They want to be fed, picked up, petted, carried around. Seriously. Every cat. What in the world is going on? - To the opposite dogs also get all over her, wanting to sniff and lick her. They are looking for all these cats to chase. And they seem to think she has them. And they wont leave her alone till they find them. Ugh!
- Amaideach: The one cat she kept from Eire from the dozens that invaded her home. Amaideach is Eirian for Silly. She is a loving cat (to everyone) and is not particularly bright. She likes to follow after Saoirse, curl up on her, play, sleep, and be carried around.
Saorise is filled with a sense of whimsical adventure at her core. She had a charmed childhood and was filled with love by her 'PapaBear' father the High King of Eire, her 'Sister-cousin' Aedhwyn of whom she has always been fiercely protective of that of and her people. One might say she has a inner beauty as well as an outer one as she has a unmistakable presence about her.
Personality Traits:
- Presence - She is tall, has a curvy imperfect form, and a thick Eirian accent. She is cheerful, true to herself, and emotionally expressive. She is far from your everyday person even in nobility of Terre d'Ange
- Eirian - The accent that just murders the sound of words and makes them sound like things they shouldn't sound like. It really makes her stand out and be remembered
- Self-confidence - a string of confidence issues on if she is worthy are hidden deep and she strives to be worthy of the love of her people
- Cheerful and soulful, her emotions are worn at face value
- Ignorant - Knows next to nothing of Terre d'Ange nor it's customs or people
- Clever - she is a hard worker and can be studious
- Soft Hearted - is a deeply caring woman who empathizes with others
- Duty - if she can put off duty she's not afraid to do so, however not at another's expense. While she has preferred to play the adventurer she can also wear her Tiara and play Princess as well
- Mildly Playful- She can be playful or all business. Though she usually doesn't go heavily or seriously into such things unless she particularly likes you though as she gets comfortable with a person she tends to really reach out to connect with them. She is fairly fun-loving at her core.
- Diplomat - She is a apprentice diplomat learning about Terre d'Ange. She just happens to be starting at the very beginning
- Kerry Pippin - An Eirian apple that is Saoirse's favorite which she absolutely loves and has since she was a child. It is a rich densely fruity taste with a sweet spicy tang, skin is orange to yellow carmine flush, with a crisp crunchy texture. It is a reliable cropper and the fruit variety is a children’s favorite
- Saoirse is 'of the blood' being of the bloodline of Alais de la Courcel.
- The great catting of Eire - Legend has it that she was sent to Terre d'Ange eventually because a great number of cats numbering between the 50-100 range (the number seems to increase with each retelling) moved into the High King of Eire's castle after her, they all loved her yet wouldn't let anyone near them. Sleeping on the throne, all the chairs, the cat hair on everything - it was a mess! Not a single mouse in the castle though…
- Eirian Princess - Father is the High King of Eire, her cousin is Aedhwyn
- Gift of True Dreams (If she's experienced one - she has no idea)
- Looking to adapt her fashion to Terre d'Ange fashion, meaning social rp play - shopping, etc
- High level of presence, from being tall, curvy non-waifish frame, Eirian - easily stands out
- Entry-level Eirian diplomat - serving under the Ambassador
- Simply amazing with agriculture. From apple orchards, to growing potatoes, or just about anything. If it's farming she has a certain expertise
- Economics - good with money matters high levels of investigation and perception
- Novice storyteller, good at making up stories and sharing them as a hobby
- Novice dancer
- A rather talented singer
- Faeries - Saoirse is very cautious of Faeries and gives warning to get along with them, not to upset them and give them what they want whenever possible. She both fears their mischief as well as believes they are not malevolent creatures - but they are not ones to cross and they are not particularly bad for Eire though divining what their wishes be is far beyond her knowledge. It does seem like she is a bit of a weirdness magnet and those around her have strange unexplained things happen around her. Anyone irksome to her may trip suddenly, be hit by something thrown like a small pebble, or find that they simply cannot find a matching pair of socks the next day or any somesuch unexplainable thing! Those that are in her favor also may have strange yet positive things happen like being extremely lucky, having a certain feeling to stop (before a carriage comes racing by). A strange little almost tickle of a whisper in their mind that maybe this hand is the one to double-down their bet on or to not bet at all. Strange unexplainable moments unlinkable to anything.
